Delivery
Report the result the program was accountable for
Vanity metrics survive a review. Operational results survive an audit.
WF-INS-2025-05
There is a difference between a number that looks good in a review and a number that holds up in an audit.
Satisfaction scores, logo counts, and hours delivered are easy to produce and hard to defend. The result a program was actually accountable for is harder to produce and easy to defend. A service that stayed up. An authorization that held its date. An accessibility standard that cleared before launch.
We report the second kind, and we bound it. A pass on audited views is not a claim about every view. A figure traces back to evidence the delivery system produced, not to a slide.
The test we use is whether the metric would survive the program office reading it back to us a year later.
